Fort Calgary Resources Ltd. is a private
oil and gas exploration and production
company headquartered in Calgary,
Alberta. The company was founded in
the spring of 1999, and the first well
was drilled in late 1999. That first well
resulted in a discovery in the Wapella
area of southeast Saskatchewan.
Since then, Fort Calgary has gradually
expanded its production by drilling
internally generated plays, and through joint venturing industry partners.
Fort Calgary’s assets are split between
Alberta and Saskatchewan with the
major assets located in the Gilby area of Alberta
and the Wapella area in
Saskatchewan. Fort Calgary is also a
stakeholder in wind energy projects in Ontario, Manitoba and British Columbia through
its affiliate BowArk Energy Ltd.
